Parkwood Middle School ranks #1 in the Nation on the Nat’l Science League Exam
In what is becoming an annual spring event, the science students at Parkwood Middle School distinguished themselves in a national science competition. This is the third consecutive year that the 7th and 8th grade science students achieved a top twenty ranking. In 2010 they ranked 17th nationally and in 2011 they improved to a third place finish. The National Science League Exam was given during the first week of May and our students ranked 1st nationally (out of 107 schools) for 2012.
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
On March 30th, 31st and April 1st, audiences were brought into "...a world of pure imagination." Parkwood Middle School's Drama Club presented "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" to packed houses each performance.
The cast included over 40 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, who filled the roles of everything from Oompa-Loompas, to old grandparents, to eccentric chocolate factory owners.
